For some reason, there is an inherent interest from the general public into the lives of gangsters, the way their world works and how it differs from that of the average citizen. This certainly hasn’t been ignored by the film making industry, with such a wide selection of gangster films being made across the globe, why is it that we’re so hooked?
More often than not, gangster films tend to follow the traditional values of the Mafia in so much as they are normally protecting their family or closest relations, as their first and foremost priority. This, however, frequently leads to the death of others and creates further hostility and anger.
