The topic of ghosts has become something of a supernatural norm here in the UK with a large majority of people claiming to have seen, heard or experienced a paranormal entity during their lifetimes. However, separating what people have experienced and what they believe to have experienced is far more difficult, especially as ghostly figures seem less afraid to stalk the streets of the United Kingdom.
Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it’s undeniable that the theory that there is a rational explanation behind everything seems to be fading away amongst fear and paranoia that there might actually be something living under our beds.
You have the added problem of hoaxes, where people claim to have captured an entity on film or audio recording that turns out to be a complete fake… or so we think. As the very notion of ghosts and ghostly activities is such a difficult topic to tackle and answer, it leaves our minds to bamboozled over the question ‘is there something beyond this world or is it all in our heads?’
To scramble our brains even further, footage has now surfaced which claims to show a ghost moving a chair in an East London theatre. As you can see, the chair does indeed move of its own accord during the CCTV footage however, is this truly the result of ghosts or is there a rational explanation behind this phenomenon?
You can also see what appears to be an ‘orb’ floating across the camera after the chair has been moved.
According to London24, Jai Sepple, the manager of the establishment, said (upon watching the footage) that he “didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.”
He also mentioned that he was the last person to leave the premises on this night and he had in fact made sure all the chairs were in-line before leaving.
He said “I never usually check the CCTV cameras as there is so much on there, we would only ever check it if there was an incident.”
“But I just took a look as I noticed when I came in that one of the chairs was at an angle and there it was!”
Another interesting part of this ghostly story is that a medium, Roy Roberts, had paid a visit to the theatre on that same night to perform a reading. This was only hours before the chair was thought to have moved.
Roberts went on to say “it’s phenomenal. I’ve never been so excited about the possibility of ghosts before. This is the best footage I’ve ever seen of ghosts in action. When I was doing the reading I did feel a strong sense but just didn’t know what it was. This is unbelievable.”
So, what do you think about this footage? Do you believe that a spirit could’ve moved the chair or do you think there’s an explanation behind why the chair moved? Let us know in the comments below!
