Something a little bit different

Just like Jack the Ripper, the chilling story of Sweeney Todd has enthralled Londoners and visitors alike since the 19th Century. The Demon barber of Fleet street carved and murdered his way into the imagination of thousands, creating the ultimate in sinister folklore. We take you into the shadowy alleyways off Fleet Street where Sweeney had his notorious barbers shop and Mrs Lovett had her infamous pie shop!

As we work our way through the dark shadows and alleyways you will hear about other gruesome and ghostly happenings in this area, around the Temple which was built in the 12th century its Templar Knights and it’s connection to Jack the Ripper.

“A truly fascinating tour awaits all those who dare to walk with us into the World of darkest London”

Sweeney Todd – the demon barber of Fleet street

On our Sweeny Todd Walking tour we show you where this most infamous legend began in Fleet Street, London. You will explore the history of the tale and exactly why Mrs Lovett might well have been real. For as we all know, once you had been murdered at the hands of the demon barber, that wasn’t the end of the story. Mrs Lovett would lovingly chop, cook and serve your remains in her tasty pies right next door, before burning your bones in the furness to keep the home warm. Oh yes, this mythical pairing was a match made in heaven, but why did the story end? What stopped Sweeny from continuing on his murderess and profitable rampage? find out on our Sweeny Todd Tour…

As we work our way through the dark shadows and alleyways you will also hear about other gruesome and ghostly happenings in this area, around the Temple which was built in the 12th century its Templar Knights and it’s connection to Jack the Ripper.
