We go to the places where Jack the Ripper killed his victims, we see the best street art in London, we go on Brick Lane Tours and learn about the Jewish community and we go to the boxing club that the Kray Twins owned.
Now there is something new in the East End of London for tourists to see and we are sure that for some people it will be a lovely place to relax and put your feet up after completing an East End Tour with us.
The new café in town is a Cat Café, the idea originally came from Taiwan where cats are banned as pets by many landlords so the idea of a cat café was born. This is basically a place where you can sit down with a cup of tea and pet or play with the cats in the café.
The Food Standard Agencies have given the café the green light along with local animal wardens and licensing officials giving the café the okay. All that is needed now is the funding for the business.
The cats at the café are rescue cats that would otherwise be homeless; cat welfare is at the heart of this idea and all cats will be treated fairly. These cats will be from the Mayhew Animal Home and care plans will be set up to ensure that all cats are kept safe, healthy and most importantly – happy.
If you are looking to see a different side of London, something you may not have seen before then booking on to one of our East End Walks will be a great start and why not pop down to the ‘Cat Café’ too?
